The J.J. Dempers Group was founded by Mr J J Dempers (Oom Japie). The J.J. Dempers Group is situated in Paarl, in the Western Cape.

Oom Japie, with his two sons, Johann and Philip, contributed to the success of the group of companies. Currently the third generation of the Dempers family is involved with the management of the Companies.
