A convenient little tool that requires a smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android) and Bluetooth. Scan the colour and Colourpin will give you the values in CMYK, RGB and Lab! Colourpin is smartphone based connected to a cloud-based system, enables instant colour matching from the scanned surface to thousands of colour references. The app is integrated with NCS – Natural Colour System®©. Within the Colourpin App, you can navigate in the NCS 1950 colour space and receive a fixed coordinate, as well as conversions to RGB, CMYK, L*a*b and lightness values. To further encourage colour communication and inspiration, you can also find references to the 2021+ NCS Trend Colours.

All colours have a unique NCS notation to designate how the colour relates to the four basic colours – yellow, red, blue, and green, as well as to black and white – in blackness, whiteness and chromaticness.
The NCS code describes the percentage of the colour that consists of these different parts. This allows you to describe the colours on any surface or materials and ensure that the colours turn out exactly as you want them too.
