Xtyre upcycled environmentally innovative Rubber copings are an incredibly effective way of waterproofing parapets. The dripline holds water 20mm away from the paint and the upcycled copings don’t crack in grout lines. Waterproof Parapet Coping System can be installed at a rate of over 100m per day versus 20m of concrete and then sanded or painted any colour.

TECHNICAL DATA KERBINGS

Architectural Specification XTYRE recycled rubber composite  hydraulically press moulded to form a 1200mm by 270mm coping tile incorporating a 20mm drip profile with a minimum 50 shore hardness profile. Outside profile of 60mm falling to 40mm internally. To be bonded with a suitable accredited 2 part polyurethane onto the substrate provided and dowel pins engaged.

Toxicity Recycled rubber is organic, non-hazardous and not toxic.
Appearance Pre-moulded sections, production colour is black .
Fire Resistance Based on testing conducted by the “Scrap Tire Management Council”, rubber wetpour is non-flammable, in accordance with the Federal Hazardous Substance Act, 16 CFR 1500.44. A flammable substance ignites and burns with a self-sustained flame at a rate that exceeds 0.1 inched per second along its major axis. Recycled rubber burns at a rate of less than 0.01 inches per second.
Noise Reduction The sound absorption coefficient is indicated in ISO10534-2 Standard showing that these materials have satisfactory acoustic properties

Prep/Installation

Ensure that the substrate is free of any debris or any surface delamination. Place the coping in situ and mark a line, remove the coping. Mix up the 2 parts of the adhesive in the ratios required and apply to the cleaned surface using the marked line as a guide. Lay the coping tiles onto adhesive ensuring that locating pins are locked and edges aligned to fish line. Weigh down to bond.
