How It Works Cemflex works?
When mixed in equal parts with water and combined with Portland cement, Sika Cemflex forms a smooth, uniform slurry that can be brushed or rolled onto prepared surfaces.
The result: a dense, impermeable membrane that bonds deeply with concrete, plaster, or brickwork.
Coverage:
Waterproofing slurry: 1 L of Cemflex® covers approximately 1 m² (with membrane).
Bonding slurry: 4.5 L covers up to 10 m².
Temperature range for application:
Substrate: 5 °C to 30 °C.
Ambient: 5 °C to 35 °C.
Curing:
Protect from direct sunlight or moisture for 24 hours. For submerged applications, allow at least 48 hours before filling or immersion.
Easy, Reliable Application.
Step 1: Prepare the surface.
Ensure all substrates are clean, sound, and free of oils, grease, coatings, or contaminants. Remove weak concrete and fill voids or blowholes with appropriate Sika® Rep or SikaDur® materials.
Step 2: Mix perfectly.
Combine equal volumes of Sika Cemflex and water, then gradually add Portland cement while mixing at 400–600rpm. Continue mixing until consistent smooth and lump-free.
Step 3: Apply confidently.
Saturate absorbent surfaces, apply the first slurry coat, and embed Cemflex® Fabric with 50 mm overlaps. Apply subsequent coats for total coverage.
For bonding applications, apply while still wet and immediately follow with a render or screed.
Step 4: Cure carefully.
Protect freshly applied surfaces from wind, condensation, and water until fully cured.
