NCS is the internationally recognised standard for communicating colours and colour matching. It is a scientifically based colour system for accurate colour matching across industries, markets and even substrates. This has made this colour system a global standard for sorting, standardisation and communication of all colour. All surface colours can be described with a NCS Notation. Swedish research into colour, resulted in the Natural Colour System (NCS), based on user requirements and the human perception of colour. The Swedish Colour School brought together many well-known architects and designers to develop and expand the possibilities of using and communicating colour.
