SPECIFICATIONS
At Midas Paints Tygervalley, we put our customers first and as a result we strive to offer a level of service we promise will meet and exceed your expectations.
Midas Paints Tygervalley offers an onsite gratuitous evaluation of your building where we put together a detailed specification of your projects paint, waterproofing and cementitious repairs requirements.
From the start of your project, a Midas representative will conduct site inspections, ensuring all products are applied to specification. Progress reports will be submitted on the various stages of the project detailing the workmanship with attention to detail.
On successful completion of the project, Midas Paints will issue its final report as well as the paint warranties on all the finishing coats used.
BASIC CONCRETE TESTING
With the use of a concrete test hammer, we are able to test whether or not your concrete surface meets the required MPA prior to the application of our topcoats and screeds.
ELCOMETER (Adhesion -Testing)
From the largest man-made structures to the smallest household appliances, most manufactured products have a protective or cosmetic coating. Premature failure of this coating can, at the very least, result in additional costs of rework.
Adhesion testing after the coating process will quantify the strength of the bond between substrate and coating, or between different coating layers or the cohesive strength of some substrates. Routine testing is used as part of inspection and maintenance procedures to help detect potential coating failures.
BIOTRACE
Due to the environmental requirements of wine farms, hospitals and restaurants, we at Midas Paints Tygervalley are able to evaluate these areas and test the levels of bacteria prior to the application of paints. Specifically for these sterile areas, Midas Paints Tygervalley has created the Steracon range developed with Byotrol anti microbial treatment.
What is Byotrol?
Byotrol is a new anti microbial treatment that uses polymer technology to entrap added biocides and adhere them to surfaces at a molecular level.
What does Byotrol do?
Byotrol has broad-band biocidal effects on virus, bacterial cells & spores, fungi and algae. Byotrol inhibits the re-growth of biofilm for extended periods of time.
How does Byotrol work?
Byotrol works directly as a fast acting biocide at low temperatures. Its polymer structure is believed to create nano surface tension differences that inhibit microbial attachment.
FLOOD TESTING
Midas Paints Tygervalley flood testing method is a means by which to prove water is not coming through the waterproofing, eliminating it as a potential source of a problem within the overall building envelope. Flood testing allows you to stress the substrate in question for water entry pathways giving you that peace of mind that your building is properly sealed. The use of washable fluorescent dyes assists in tracing water ‘pathways’, to the direction of the source. Flood testing works on is a diverse testing method and can be used on practically all building membranes and build-ups, providing you with solid visual representation.
Our technicians can carry out flood testing on large and small surfaces, so whether you want us to check a house, office, shopping centre or a skyscraper for roof or wall leaks, we can meet your needs. Once we’ve carried out flood testing, we can quickly identify whether there’s a problem and provide the fix – no matter how severe the leak is.
